In our day care center we carry out an Early Childhood Education program (Voor- en Vroegschoolse Educatie / VVE). These programs stimulate the development of children. The VVE-program we use is called “Uk & Puk”. Uk & Puk is structured around various themes and every six weeks a new theme is introduced based on which we organise activities. We involve the parents in our activities and offer the children new and exciting playing materials. In the treatment of a theme we use subjects like emotions, the weather, eating and drinking or concepts like “large” and “small”. The interior of the group rooms is adapted to the specific theme. In summer, for instance, there is an ice cream parlour to play in, which we transform into a gnome home in autumn. We inform parents in good time about the theme coming up and about with what their child is occupied at a particular moment. To toddlers yoga lessons are being offered.
In the baby groups the youngest ones get lot of attention. Every baby has his own needs and deserves to get the right amount of time and attention. We find it of the utmost importance that both children and parents feel happy and safe and that parents leave their most precious possession at our center with confidence.
We feed the children, offer them drinks and put them to bed according to a fixed daily schedule. Fortunately this schedule leaves them time enough for being cuddled, playing and exploring the world around them. In the baby groups we do activities that have to do with music and dance. And we regularly do some crafting with them or in the summertime take them outside.

Partou is located in a multipurpose center in Amsterdam Buitenveldert in the A.J. Ernststraat, opposite shopping mall Groot Gelderlandplein. The building is large and modern and houses apart from us two elementary schools, a playground for toddlers, an out-of-school center, activities organisation Dynamo and a health center (OKC).
Our center has large group rooms directly adjacent to the outdoor space. This construction makes the playground easily accessible and that is why we often go outside. The many windows turn the rooms into areas full of light. They are located along one corridor inside where we often play all together. Every room has its own kitchen and changing facilities.
We have a large outdoors space, which is part of the big playground of the multipurpose center Binnenhof on the A.J. Ernstraat in Amsterdam Buitenveldert, opposite shopping mall Groot Gelderlandplein. Our space is separated from the playground by means of a fence and our children can play there safely. Our playground equipment is safe, there are a sand pit and lots of materials to play with. Although the baby rooms have their own playground, the babies often play together with the toddlers. In the neighbourhood there are several parks (Amstelpark and Beatrixpark) and public playgrounds.
Our team consists of qualified pedagogical employees who pay a lot of attention to your child. Some of them are trained as Emergency Response Officer with a certificate First Aid for Children and we have a music coach. All our employees are trained to carry out the VVE-programme Uk & Puk.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30 to 18.00 o’clock
