Every week we organise “Open Doors” based on a monthly changing theme. “Open Doors” means that we literally open all the doors in the building. In the group rooms and in the corridor (or outside when the weather is fine) we offer the children activities. It is up to them in which activity they want to participate. In one group room the very young and the children who do not want to join in a structured activity are being cared for. Activities always include music, exercise, reading/being read to and crafting. If the weather allows it, we play outside on our playground or go to the Beatrix Park opposite our center. Every month we organise an outing based on our monthly theme.
Type of childcare
- Day care
- 2 groups for a maximum of 13 babies from 0 to 2 per day each
- 2 groups for a maximum of 14 children from 2 to 4 per day each
Partou is located in a large, spacious, light building (both in colour and because of the many windows). The groups rooms are close together and also inside there are many windows between the rooms. All this stimulates the interaction between the groups. The center radiates tranquillity as a result of white being the basic colour that has been applied. We have a “cuddle space” where children can find peace and quiet. The light there is low and it contains a waterbed and a lava lamp with bubbles and colours. Limitation of incentives in this space enables the children to relax.
Our outdoor space is being refurbished with natural materials and elements that stimulate natural experiences. Think of a path with various surfaces like pebbles, wooden beams and tiles. When children ride their tricycles there, they experience the different ‘feel’ of these materials. The babies have a separate space of their own. A separate space for toddlers will follow. In summer the babies can enjoy the outdoors lying on their own lawn under an awning. The children have a vegetable garden and a small garden to grow flowers in. The Beatrix Park is close by and we are close to public transportation, which makes it easy for us to go on outings.
Our team consists of qualified pedagogical employees who pay a lot of attention to your child. One team member coaches the children in music, another teaches “beweegkriebels” (movement, play and active lifestyle for children) and a third reads to them. We also have a special task-employee child abuse and an ergonomic coach.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7.30 to 18.30 o’clock
